To celebrate the countdown to my new release, the first book in the Living in Eden series, THE DEMON IN ME, I’m blogging every day (except for the last two days, that is. *shifty eyes*) — and some days I have fabulous guests and prizes!

What inspired you to write about demons?
Well, I’ve always been interested in the paranormal, and the stories I read about succubi and incubi were always fascinating. So when I came up with the concept of Underworld General Hospital, I decided to staff it with demons. Plus, at the time, vampires were all the rage, but no one was writing about demons. (At least, I didn’t think they were. By the time I had Pleasure Unbound written, authors like Gena Showalter and Jacquelyn Frank were already ahead of the game! *g*)
Demons — shades of gray or always evil?
Shades of gray, just like people.
What’s your demonically awesome book about?
Well, the whole series is set in an underworld hospital run by vampires, demons, and were-creatures, but the main characters are mostly demons. Think, “Buffy The Vampire Slayer meets E.R.” 
My newest release, Ecstasy Unveiled, is about a half-human, half-incubus assassin who has been pitted against his newfound family in a life-or-death situation. The very person he’s supposed to kill is his brothers’ best friend, and making matters worse, there is someone protecting the target — a gorgeous angel whose very wings are on the line if she fails.
Let’s say Jim Cameron calls and he wants to make Ecstasy Unveiled into a movie. Who are your actor/actress choices?
Honestly, I can’t answer that. I just don’t have anyone in mind for these characters no matter how hard I think. Okay, wait…maybe Milla Jovovich for Idess, the heroine. But the hero, Lore? I’m open to suggestions! *g*
What’s your one line of advice for aspiring writers (demonic or otherwise)?
Never give up, never surrender! What, no? Right, that’s taken. Okay, how about, don’t be afraid to break the rules. Learn them, know them, and then toss them out the window!

Jessica…yikes! Tough question! LOL Well, each book has a special place in my heart…but I think I have to go with Passion Unleashed. I really love writing Wraith, and it was fun to write him falling for Serena. The whole book just really came together well for me.

I’ll never forget when I read the the first in the Demonica series- I was on a long flight home and it became apparent that the dude in the seat next to me was reading the book along with me. Great book, awkward time.

I just wanted to say(besides the obvious of U ROCK) I love the creativity of a hospital in a paranormal world. But my poor husband HATES when your books come out cuz he gets no SLEEP…. Ha you know a books good when u skip sleep to finish it! Just nothing I can do though, cuz Good writing = Good reading. Thank you for the all-nighters!

I frikkin lOvE ur Demonica series! And I have to say that Lore is my favorite of the brothers, but I reeeeally can not wait to hear Sin’s story!!
What’s funny is, I’m soo glad I gave your books a chance because I almost didn’t. I was browsing books and saw the pretty, shiny, blue cover of Pleasures Unbound and picked it up but when I read it was a romance novel about demons I was like, “Demons?! Who the hell thinks demons are sexy?!” I felt kinda scared by the idea but for some reason I got it anyway. And I am so happy I did, lol! I love the series and was able to read books 2 and 3 right after, which was awesome cuz I suck at patience.
Now I’m excited and looking forward to Michelle’s book Demon in Me too

Laura, I’d say my biggest influence would be Stephen King. He was the first horror author I really started reading, and I love him! When I first started writing, my stories were horror all the way. This way I get to combine my love of both romance AND horror.
