It’s the official release day for VAMPIRE ACADEMY: THE ULTIMATE GUIDE! Hooray!! I was thrilled to get the chance to be a part of this fun project, especially since I was (and am) such a fan of Richelle Mead’s series.
Here’s a few FAQs I get about this project….
Who is your favorite VA character?
Too many to mention all of them, but Adrian is a stand-out character for me. He was gorgeous, he had charm, and he was incredibly sarcastic. The perfect man!
Which character would you most like to be bitten by?
Without a doubt: Dimitri. *offers neck*
What power would you want if you were a Moroi?
Spirit, if it didn’t have the side effects. Otherwise, I’d like fire. It seems to be the most kickass power by far.
Does writing the Guide mean you get to meet Dimitri and Adrian?
I wish! But, alas, no.

My favourite charakter is Rose.
He shows himself to other people as a strong man – but he isn’t. In his deepths, he is a very lonely person. His love to Rose will never has a future – not, when Dimka’s still alive.
She’s so similar to me, because she’s cheeky, brave and loves her beloved ones till the death. She would do everything to protect them – so would I.
She has got a talent to say always the wrong things and to get into very painful affairs – but she always finds a way to make everything okay again.
Her love to Dimka is so strong and I admire her strength.
Dimka is one of my favourite characters too.
He’s the man every woman wants. So do I ;P

My initial fav character was Dimitri (he remained a fav throughout) but Adrian had me at “Hello, little Dhampir” I like how complex yet simple he is. His whole carefree-dandy-bad boy persona is irresistible. In every book I always waited for his next shenanigan or witty observation. He’s not just a pretty face, there’s more to him that meets the eye and I’m glad we get to see that in the Bloodlines series now.

I love Adrian. He is extremely sexy, charming, and a badass. He sarcastic remarks were a pleasure to read. And I feel that even though he tried to shrug off everything, there are a lot more layers to him. I wish there was an entire novel on the chemistry between Adrian and Rose.

My favorite character in VA is pretty much the same as yours, Michelle! Adrian is a wonderful character, so full of layers and sides that we have to have another series with him so we could get do know him more!
I think it’s impressive how he grows up during the first five books of Vampire Academy, showing that he is way more than a selfish party boy. He is a wonderful character!

My favorite character in her book wold have to be Rose. She is strong for herself and for her friends. She is constantly doing more for Lisa than she ever would for herself. Sometimes her attitude gets in the way of letting her guard down around other people, but that is what helps her keep her edge in fighting. Throughout the books she constantly finds new and innovative tactics to use when fighting or on the battle ground.
My favorite thing about her is that she doesn’t see herself as ever being weak – she feels it is her duty to be strong and to break down at all is not an option in any way. By the end of the book she learns to channel her attitude in a direction that is good for her, but she still lets those she loves see the tender side of her heart.

My favorite character is definitely Rosemarie Hathaway. I know she’s a fictional, vampire slayer, but she’s my inspiration. I can’t say how many times I’ve finished reading one of the VA books and gone all Rose Hathaway snarky bitch. It sucks that we are no longer following her life, but as soon as the Vampire Academy series ended, I immidietly preordered the Spin Off series.
And I shrieked as soon as Rose was in the book.

If I HAD to pick, I'd pick Adrian. He makes me laugh, cry and smile all the time <3 He is just so wonderful, you just have to look past his sarcastic exterior. He never stops loving Rose and I love how he was still willing to help her no matter what! I always get a lovely feeling when I see his name on the page.

OMG Wow my favorite Character is Dimitri, I think that his prospective in doing the right thing goes beyond any of us could imagine. I mean he would not hesitate to jump into action to protect those who he loves and his relationship with Rose has always been unique. Whether he was a guardian or not those feelings were always there even as a Strigoi he always did everything & anything for her & in last sacrifice it really showed that even tho he was going against the Moroi laws he was doing it for the right reasons and he took action beyond his power to do what was right.

Even though it was already mentioned and explained several times: my favorite character in the series is Rose! I love about her that she’s not the perfect heroine. She is filled with doubts, she does mistakes and she cannot always be that nice little girl from next door who does everything right and the way it should be. She’s just real and authentic and readers can relate to her so much better. She’s kind of a mouth full, probably hard to be around sometimes, but as I said: it just makes her sympathetic.
I love her charakter, I love her wild nature and her smart mouth. And I definitely share her humor and taste in men.

Dimitri is my favorite character. Even though he is a “Bad Ass God,” we see him struggle with right and wrong, love and hate, good and bad,and overcoming guilt for behavior beyond his control. He is awesome!!!

When i read about these people i feel like i’m in another world, one where any thing goes, one that absorbs me completely and inspired me. My favorite to read about would definitely be Rose. Her outlook on life is something i wish i could obtain. She is so fearless, at times irrational, but always following her heart and standing up for everything she believes. I’ve been following Vampire Academy since day one, the moment the book was released. once i read the first page, i was hooked. Once i really connected with and felt Rose…there was no turning back.

I don’t think I can pick a single favorite character but I really love Christian, Sydney, and Adrian. I was really routing for him at the end of Last Sacrifice (Not that I’m upset that Rose and Dimitri got their happy ending now that Adrian is staring in another series
).
Adrian’s love for Rose was just overwhelmingly sweet and I feel like she took him for granted. The poor guy. I love his sarcasm and wit throughout the series. I especially appreciate how much he grew as a character throughout the series. Getting to know him was a pleasure.
I also loved Sydney’s role in the series. I loved that she was able to overcome her dislike of vampires (to an extent) in order to become friends with Rose. She was surprising and refreshing.
And Christian… He was just perfect. He protected Lissa and loved her for who she was, not who she was expected to be. His support, unconditional love, ATTRACTIVENESS, etc were what drew me to him.
Basically, I could come up with a reason to love each and every character and I’m sure I could go on for much longer about the three that I love the most… But I think that’s enough for now

Even when he had to let go of the person he loves because he believed that she changed for the worst, it shows how much he’s willing to give up in the name of what’s right! shes just amazingly brave! I love the fact that she doesnt care what others say about her or what they think of her and she sticks up for those she cares about. Shes not afraid to give up on what she believes in or loves and isnt afraid to let her opinion be heard. I just think that, alhough shes only a book character, shes a great role model for people 
also i love her amazing wittyness and sarcasm, shes just great!

I love these books! My favorite character is either Lissa or Rose. LIssa because sshe is so determined and she lets her mind be herd, but she is also a great person all around and she will do anything for her friends. My favourite Character would probably be Sydney. She’s as capable as Rose, but navigates the world through intelligence and cunning. She’s ambitious, has an excellent sense of justice, and gets the job done. I enjoy her contempt and dislike for other characters. I also like how hard she fails at normal social interaction. She’s like the less obscure Sheldon (Big Bang Theory) of the Vampire Academy world.
Rose’s dad is also a really fun character, but we don’t get to see much of him.

He can be the total bad ass mobster, but he can also just be a cool and loving father, even if he’s just a little too much like Rose (where else would she get it from? Def. not Janine!) My favourite character is a tie between Lissa and Rose. For me they embody one person and I relate to them both. I learned about this book series through my sister who, like me, was grieving over the loss of our father and found solace in reading books. Once I began reading the books I knew why she loved them so much. Lissa’s journey to become a strong, independent person with the desire to carry on her family’s name with respect is how I felt following my father’s passing and everyday, every dream that I chase and realize, I make sure that I pay respect to his memory. But at the same time, I’m trying to find my voice in the legacy my parents have left. Rose, I relate too and admire as a character, because in addition to being a foundation or a rock for her best friend, she makes the reader feel that it is just to fight for a worthy cause. Rose’s strength to overcome the personal troubles she feels and continue on the path of loyalty for her friends and family is remarkable. Rose is almost too good to be true, but writers traditionally create these characters to remind readers that hope and perseverance is very important for our existence. These two characters combined remind me of this and for that I am grateful that you have provided us readers with such remarkable characters. Thank you.

One favorite character is hard to choose.
So I love Rose a lot, but I have to say my favorite character is Dimitri.. I wanted to hate him for not wanting to be with Rose when he was first turned back into a Guardian, but I couldn’t. I have loved his characted from the start. Nothing like an older man.. lol He is strong, protective, older, and sweet.
Rose comes in Second. She goes through so much and I just wanted good things to happen to her. Part of me wanted her to end up with Adrian.. I just loved him, but I am glad she got back with Dimitri, even though I would not have been sad if she would have stayed with Adrian.
I loved Adrians Character From the start as well, and love that he is in the spin off series. He reminds me of my friends, the way he talks and acts. I would so love to be his friend.. lol

Another character I really love is Christian. I loved to see how he is actually different then the person think he is. It was wonderful to see how he is loyal and protective. Besides, he can use fire! Christian is just awesome.

Ever since Rose saw him in Frostbite just chilling at the ski lodge,
ADRIAN! has been my favorite character of the entire series. At first he seemed like such an ass, but he was extremely attractive (in my mind anyway) haha… but as the series progressed, Richelle made him have compassion and showed his transformation into a vampire who was still super sarcastic, but also had such a big heart. I cried SO MUCH in last sacrifice when Adrian found out about Rose and DImitri. His character has such depth and love. Even know, in bloodlines; he pretty much gave up on everything and everyone, but he still cared deep down and always helped out his friends.

Asides from that however, I also like him because he is funny, sarcastic, your typical party boy who is never taken seriously, but in the end he is serious, and also gives you an answer that seems to always reveal some profound truth. I love all the characters in general! Each one is designed and sculpted so perfectly. They all have their own unique look and personality; when one reads you get the feeling you are actually there with the characters. They make you laugh with their jokes, and cry when they are sad. It is like being pulled into their world as if you were one of them.
But if i had to pick a favorite character, i would have to say Adrian. He is the one that i feel for the most. He has so many hardships, from being born a spirit user and having to cope with the side affects, to having a mother who betrayed their people and a girlfriend whom he really loved but who couldn’t love him back as much as she loved another man.
But still he continues to keep myself positive, makes jokes, laugh and have a good time, all his sorrows aside. Even with his bad habits like smoking and drinking, you get the sense that hes just trying to have a good life, fit in, and love and be loved. His character is brilliant and deep and inspiring, and that is why Adrian is my favorite.

I have many favorite characters but the one that stands out the most is Rose. She was a strong young woman who worked harder than anyone to prove that she can do what any man can do. She had determination and will power, she never gave up on anyone, even the one she loved. She saw the good in those who could be saved and fought till the end for what she believed in. I think she is a good role model for young women today. Never let anyone stand in your way, be what YOU want to be and be an inspiration for other women.

My favorite character is Rose. Its so easy to get lost in the story and pretty much take on Rose’s identity. I love her because she isn’t the typical hero. She is sassy, take no prisoners, fierce warrior, with a smart mouth. She is a protector. Its so nice to have someone in the story be a hero yet not be so goody-goody. I <3 Dimitri also. he struggles to be good and be in control all the time…it was such a good read seeing Rose break him down. and Adrian, i <3 him too but every time I think of him all I can picture is his tattoo! There are so many wonderful characters in the VA books its hard to choose, but if I had to…. it would be Rose!

My favorite is Rose, but it really is such a hard decision. I think she’s probably my favorite because I can relate so much to her character. Amoung my friends I’m always the one who is the “body guard” as it were. If we go somewhere I watch out for everyone. I obviously can’t fully relate since I’m not defending off evil vampires, but still. I adore her wit and sarcasm and general ability to not give a crap what other people think about her. She has her flaws like everyone else, but that just makes her so much more amazing. The way that Richelle Mead developed her characters was brilliant it was as if you could jump into the story for yourself. I do really love them all, but as said Rose is my choice. =)

My favourite character is Adrian. It’s hard to not love him because he shows his affection openly and went out of his way to impress Rose who gave him no chance. One can feel his sincerity and passion if ever he speaks of them. He is also a mysterious guy who would rather keep to himself than show it in front of others. As much as I enjoyed the other characters such as Adrian, Dimitri and Rose-my favorite is ultimately Lissa. At first when I began to read VA I figured she was going to be just another pampered princess who had everything she ever wanted and everyone adored. And then she actually began to grow on me.
Lissa and I share common traits in personality and our family backgrounds. As the series went on Lissa went from being shy and wary about her spirit power to being strong and confident. She stood up in the face of adversity and yes, she did have a mini break down but she came back full force to lead her people.
All in all Lissa is my favorite character with how strong and how much her personality grew over the course of the books. I love every character in VA, as each one has their own unique personality but I look up to Lissa now more than ever and if she was a real person I’d think we’d be friends

My favorite character is Adrian. I love that he puts up all these walls to keep people away with his drinking, drug use etc but in the end he really just wants someone to break down these walls and make him happy.

I love them all, of course, but I’ve got to say, if I had a ‘favorite’, today, it would probably be Mikhail. I know he’s a background character, but he’s so sweet, and he’s been through so much. Plus, even though I know he’s only doing it for selfish reasons, he always seems eager to help Rose.
Bottom line, even though his life sucks, and he has every right to be furious with the world and all the people in it, he’s not. He’s still as loveable and awesome as ever!

I can’t really decide, I really love them all. I think that Rose is an awesome main character. She is strong, faithful, good friend. Dimitri, I adore him. He is the fantasy of every girl. He is mysterious, intense, serious, noble, passionate and brave. You can’t hate him even when he was strigoi. The relationship between them is so unique!

My favorite character is both rose and Dimka. I Love the way rose is loyal to those she love, would be willing to give her life to protect them. Also shes strong and has wicked hair. Besides I cant stop laughing with her sarcastic and witty responses. Dimka is the strong leader that is also very passionate. Hes able to be compassionate, a mentor and also has the best lines in the series.

To respond to which character is the best, is like being forced to choose between Ben & Jerry’s Cookie Dough and Phish Food; it’s impossible. VA is full of fantastic characters to love.
Rose is, undoubtedly, one of the best female protagonists yet in the genre, and it has been a bless to be able to follow her through both her and Lissa’s journey. Dimitri is the perfect match for her, and although it’s killing me to see that Adrian is hurting, it was still the right way things turned out.
Many has Adrian as their favorite character and it’s easy to see why. He is a really nice guy, but hides behind drinking. Sometimes you get to see him break free from the fear of just being himself, and those moments are priceless.
Maybe Adrian is my favorite character too, but I’m to royal forward the rest of the crew to name him (or anyone else) my favorite. VA has the most amazing characters that you really connect with, and I believe, you’re one of the luckiest people in the world, to be able to team up with Mead, and write a guide to this amazing series. In other words, thank you for that!

My favourite character has to be Adrian. He’s one of those rich boys who acts rich but only to get attention. Hes gorgeous, artistic, honest, and will protect anyone he cares about. He’s the kinda of guy that will do anything for someone he really cares about, ( ex: when he funded Rose’s trip to Russia without question.) I also love his sacasim. It makes him that much sexier.
Another character that i really like is Eddie because of his loyalty. He’s so determined once given a job. And like Adrian he trusts his friends enough to not ask questions if they need help.

My favourite character is Adrian. I adore Rose’s strenght, Dimitri’s power of will, but Adrian is the one I can relate to.
I feel some strong inner connection to him. I understand him even when the others don’t. He is so talented, smart, but no one expects something great from him just because of his past behavior. He is very lonely because people do not see his true nature and don’t take him seriously. For others he is just a bright glittering toy, shining but empty inside, incapable of deep feelings and not willing to think about anything but his own entertainment. He is a fake.
But that’s not true. He is what he is: one of the most honest people I’ve ever seen, he is not afraid to speak his mind, he is a keen observer, but at the same time he is unconfident. He doesn’ t know how good he really is. And that is really touching.

My favorite character has to be Mason. He may be a minor character, but he plays an important role in the first three books. Mason was a victim for Rose when she was avoiding her love for Dimirti. Mason was hurt when he was with Rose, but in the end, he sacrifices his life
to save Rose. I think that he’s a type of guy that anyone would be with, he’s so caring, will do anything to make the people around him be happy.

My all time favorite character of the series would be Lissa (Princess Dragomir) because she went through a lot dealing with her powers let alone the pressure of everyday school and classmates picking on her. In the end she opended up like a flower taking control of her power, standing up for her rights and she helped the one person who has helped her all of her life which would be Rose by bringing Dimitri back to her. She is selfless and strong.

Picking one character out of all these perfect characters, who is all so special and delightfull on their own way is tough. But if i have to chose one it’s probably going to be Adrian. How he started out being this big mystery to being this cute, loveable guy who keeps standing although his entire world is crashing down is just amazing. From the first time that he entered the series he had my heart. Sure, he has his flaws, just like the rest of us. But with all these bad things happening to him, he has to have something to get his mind of the reality for a bit. And as the series ended i was just like “What about Adrian, what’s gonna hapen to him?” So, having him in Bloodlines too was just a happy moment for me. To make a long story short, Adrians is just my number one character in VA because of all he is. His flaws, his personality and the way he can make everything into a joke just makes him so loveable.

I always feel horrible when I try to pick one of my favorite characters from the VA series, but one of them that constantly jumps out to me is definitely Adrian. On the surface he comes off as self centered and absorbed rich boy who’s only concerned about his appearance, but he’s really this man with deep feelings and has a great sense of humour and sarcasm and on top of that he is also gorgeous. I wish that we got to dig a little deeper into Adrians life and story, but alas we only went a little deeper than face value. Hopefully there is much, much more of him to come in Bloodlines

As far as favorites in the VA series go, I can’t really pick just one. What I love about the books is that each character gets their time and development and there are so many amazing personalities. I do love Rose because she’s amazing and strong and has such a great character development throughout the series that manages to show us all of these different aspects to her personality. But I also love Dimitri for being such an amazing and moral being as to torture himself so badly after being turned back. I love Lissa and Christian and Sydney and Adrian. Honestly, Richelle makes it so hard to just pick one favorite because I do love them all, even the bad guys because without them our heroes wouldn’t be who they are.

Ι absolutely loooooove Dimitri! <3 I absolutely love all Dimitri forms: Kick-ass and protective Dhampir Dimitri, villain and brute Strigoi Dimitri and of course confused but still sensational Dhampir-restored Dimitri! So the answer to the second question is kind of obvious! 
I would like to get bitten by Dimitri! (over and over again). To conclude I think I would prefer to be a spirit user…maybe that way there was a chance for me to create a bond with Dimitri!

Hmm, this is a hard question. I love Rose because she’s so strong and resilient and just downright cool, and Adrian is always amusing, but my favorite character is probably Christian. That’s an easy question. My favorite VA character is Adrian. He was funny, charming, kind, and handsome. I especially live his dream walking. He could be with you at all hours of the day.

My favorite character would have to be Dimitri, and not just because of his looks. Because of him I strive to be calm and collected in tough situations. He has inspired me to become a police officer an help those that cannot help themselves ( like a cowgirl

If you would have asked this question to me when I first began reading the series I would have said Rose without a doubt, but now that I’ve read the full series it’s changed. Lissa is now my favorite character. I liked Rose originally for her strong personality and really tough nature and when we met Lissa in the line she was sooo opposite of that. She’s sweet and shy at the start and very soft spoken. I’ve always loved strong female characters in a story line and so I pushed Lissa off as just another weak one but by the end of the series she steps up and really becomes one tough chick. She fights through her struggles of dealing with a complicated power and learns to master it all while dealing with the stress of being the Dragomir princess and maintaining quite a sarcastic stubborn boyfriend too.

I love them all for different reasons. =) But I guess my 2 top faves would be Rose and Adrian because they’re both so misunderstood and can take charge of situations when needed even though Adrian would rather drink away everything and Rose would rather kick everyone’s a$$. LOL! Absolutely love them all and can’t wait to read Bloodlines (I’m getting it for Christmas, yay)!!!

My absolute favorite character is Rose. She is completely and totally loyal; someone who’s smart and very fierce. Even though she may have her moments in making bad decisions or letting her emotions and impulses get the better of her, everything she does is for those she loves. She’s just totally awesome. =)
I also absolutely love Adrian; he’s the man left behind, but his wit and cocky demeanor really hides the vulnerable and devoted person he truly is. And he’s hot. Verrryyy hot. Which is why i was so happy when Bloodlines came out. ;D

I love all the characters dearly, but I’d have to go with Rose. Not because she’s the lead and everything happens to her, but because of how she manages all the issues in her life. It’s refreshing to see a lead character who is willing to lose her life for everyone she cares about, who is so devoted to a loved one she’s willing to set them free. Also, her sarcastic quirks are a cover for her hiding emotions and true feelings, which I can definitely relate to. She has good intentions in everything she does(okay, MOST things), and is great at her job. I would be honored to have a friend like her.

My favorite character is Dimitri! Not only is he good looking and sweet but he has a high set of standards that he lives by. He does everything in his power to deny his feelings for Rose due to their age difference, student/mentor relationship, and how at first they were both going to be Lissa’s bodyguards once Rose graduated. Then when he was turned into a strigoi we get to see a hot new yet not bad boy that was lurking under his steel of honor. But of course once he’s turned back into the dimitri that we all love he became hell bent on doing extreme good for all the bad deeds he did which in turn would also mean pushing rose away for her own good no matter the fact that he’s still very much in love with her!

I felt like he was an “extra.” Someone forgotten after the main people get together and are happy. He deserves this spinoff. I was happy when I heard there was even gonna be one.
Adrian is beautiful both on the outside and especially on the inside. It’s just because people expect to little of him and don’t believe in him enough to give him a chance. He does truly love Rose. There are no words to describe him. Sometimes I think he’s even better then Dimitri because he was a true friend to Rose when she needed one, and he would never cheat or go behind people’s back. How Richelle describes his pain is just so sad and heartbreaking. I know he can never hate Rose and is trying real hard to forgive them one day. I would like to start by saying that these books helped me get through a really tough time. So thank you for that. How you ask? A year ago I lost my best friend to suicide. After reading the Vampire Acadamy books, and reading about Lissa, I started to feel a little better. Lissa reminded me exactly of Monie (Monica). A strong leader, kind-hearted, an amazing friend, but troubled in a way that is sometimes hard to understand. Lissa fought through the troubles that spirit caused, even when there were times she wanted to give up. Even though Monie couldn’t win the battle, Lissa reminded me that I can help others to win the war.

Every major and minor character in this series are just unbelievably put-together and have so much personality, their so realistic. I can’t help a little part of me that believes that St. Vladimir’s is real.
If I had to choose a favorite character it would be Sydney Sage. I love that quirk she has she has a fond kind of rekationship with her cars. I like how she stands out from all the other Alchemists and see’s that the damphirs and moroi aren’t all that bad and you can actually befriend them. I love that the new series is from her point of view and still involves the other characters from the Vampire Academy series, as well as an introduction to new characters that reveal more of Sydneys well hidden personal life.

I think that Sydney is my favourite character. I love how she developed through the stories and she became great friends (sort of) with Rose. I think its awesome that she’s a secret weapon to clean up after the guardians mess. I haven’t read the next series based on Sydney, but I cannot wait (com’on Santa mama needs some new books to read!).

My favourite female character is without a doubt Rose. She is so similar to me it is unreal. I know a lot of people will say that but for me it really is. Same height, same hair colour, same eye colour, same physical build. And its not just the physical stuff, our personalities our the same as well. From the tough outer shell that never cries, to the passion and intensity. I’ve always read alot (which is the one part of me that is not like Rose
) and I’ve always found that female protagonists are too wimpy and reliant on men so finding VA and the amazing heroine that is Rose was great!
As much as I adore Dimitri, and the fact that my personal trainer looks exactly like him
my favourite male character is Mason. I know he was only living in two of the books but he is so fun and cheerful and quirky but yet can be serious and confident and helpful. I love him! I think he would be the greatest friend ever!

My favorite character is Tasha Ozera. She is strong and determined to get what she wants. During that fateful day when she had to defend her nephew, Christian, against her strigoi brother and sister in-law with no fighting skills what-so-ever, her life changes. She becomes a tough fighter, physically and with her elemental magic. She stands up for herself and doesn’t care for snobby royal politics. She is an outcast, but plays it to her advantage, not caring what people think of her. Then to kill the queen blame Rose, then shoot Rose, shows her evil side that is in her and her brother, Lucas. She is sweet and caring with a wicked side. I love her!

I love both Rose and Adrian. However Rose takes number one position because although she goes through trainatic event after traumatic event, in the end she is always there to help, aid or rescue Lissa. Through this ensurance of Lissa’ s wellbeing she advertently displays two admirable qualities, selflessness and loyalty. However Rose is not perfect so on occasion she gets distracted and reckless, only adding to her appeal. Overall the way you have written Rose to be the main protagonist who is flawed but also perfect in her own way, has made it easy to follow and support her on her journey through this incredible series.

I picked up the book series when I was going through a hard time with my father, and other family and reading about here and seeing how she dealt with things made me feel stronger. Rose kinda became an imaginary mentor to me.. “what would Rose do or say… and what would she get out of that?” (I even have Molnija and zvezda marks tattooed onto my neck in real life.)
Richelle doesn’t make her perfect which is why I love her, its so easy for a writer to make a perfect character, and for a reader to see a perfect character, but Rose has had her ups and downs, and learns from them like any other person.

Kudos to Richelle for creating such a great influence. Rose is a prime example of a great teenage girl. Sure, she may be rebellious and inappropriate sometimes, but all her actions are true. She does her best to help others and she dedicates herself to everything she does. She would give her life for Lissa, Dimitri, or anyone she loves. Rose may be stubborn, but she pushes and things turn out great for her (DIMITRI<3)! I love, love, love her. There's no way to really describe Rose; she's so many things. I respect the way she deals with her problems, and I've begun to think the way she does. Being respected (while being sometimes disrespectful! Bad Rose!) is my favorite part of Rose. I’m gonna have to be the Devil’s Advocate here and say my favorite character is Sydney! From her first line I could just tell that she was going to play an important part in the story, and now she’s the narrator in Bloodlines which couldn’t make me happier!
Sydney is my favorite character because she’s got a spunky nature without going overboard. She’s smart, even nerdy(!), which is unusual in YA books. I feel it’s so easy to just make a bonehead character who relies solely on their boyfriend, so for Richelle Mead to take this character and make her into a fascinating main character is amazing. I love watching Sydney grow with each book. I just think back to how she was terrified to be in the same train compartment with Rose, and now she’s around Moroi and dhampirs all the time and can be comfortable with it. I have high, high hopes for Sydney, and believe that eventually she can be as badass as Rose is.

Hmm… I pretty much love all the characters, lol. But if I had to choose… I would have to say Mason. I never knew how much I was fond of him as a character until that incident, *cough Frostbite cough*.
In such a short time, I became a fan of him and didn’t realize until *cough Frostbite cough*. I cried. Yep. I’m admitting I shed some tears…
I don’t know exactly what makes him my favorite, other than having the power to make me choke up and fight back the tears every time he’s brought up, lol.. but he was just so.. fun, spontaneous, and was cute how he chased after Rose. He was like the ‘Xander’ to the ‘Buffy’, lol.

My Favorite Character in the book is Rose because no matter the prolem or who is stuck in a bad situation, Rose is always there to lend a hand! Although most of the tie she gets herself stuck in a situation and needs dimitri to help her out, she never gives up on anyone or getting through any problem. And she treasures her friendships and relationships as the biggest part of her life and she would do anything for her friends!!!

I love Rose. She is a strong, kick-butt, female lead who is not afraid to go after what she wants consequences aside! Her Loyalty is to be admired and who doesn’t love that vulnerability she tries so hard to hide

Dimitri, he has literally been through vampire hell and back, he is such a tortured soul and punishes himself, I love when he finally finds his happiness and accepts that he can be happy with Rose

I would have to say while I love all the characters in the Vampire Academy series, I would have to say in the end Adrian is my favorite. I love his snark, and the bit of craziness. While I am a huge fan of Dimitri and Rose, I felt so bad for Adrian. I am glad that there is an opportunity for him in the Bloodlines series. I also like having my Adrian in my book, like in Bloodlines. I cannot wait for the next installment, or to pick up a copy of VA Ultimate Guide ( if I happen to not be extremely lucky) Thank you for the giveaway!

I love all the characters but I’d have to say Adrian is my favorite. He’s got the whole bad boy image going yet he’s so caring and loving underneath it all. He has a lot more to him than we first think. He’s definitely the perfect man! Where can I find one like him.

I would have to say my favourite character would be Eddie. I love Rose and Dimitri but they both are a bit to head strong for my liking. Eddie is very much like Rose only more causious. He listens, he fights, he’s very much like a friend of mine. Eddie holds alot of reposability in the last few books and alot of people overlook him as a character, which is why I was extremely pleased to see he had a bigger part in the spin off series, Bloodlines. He has all the ablilty of Rose and Dimitri, thinks like them, acts like them, is Dhampir like them, the only big difference is that he is a side character, much like Emmett in the Twilight Saga, you know about them and the basics but you don’t get deep enough to completly understand them, this is why I like side characters because you can imagine the extra information, you create the side story that the writer doesn’t give you; thats why I love Eddie!

at the library one day. After that I have been obsessed with all the characters. How can I have just one favorite, they all are my favorite!!! There is no way that I could pick just one. I can not wait till my children are old enough to enjoy the series themselves.

Adrian is my favourite character, not only in the VA-series but one of my favourite of all the books I’ve ever read. There’s just something about him, that charm and the sarcasm and the wonderful poetry that he makes up. I don’t know, he is one of a kind.

I absolutely adored the Vampire Academy Series. Adrian has to be my favorite if I had to choose. My heart went out to him from the beginning. Most “bad boys” suffer from some tragedy. His parents weren’t really there for him, and his mother betrayed his whole family. He then fell in love with Rose who in return was in love Demitri. I think Adrian felt like no one loved him really. But I did. Hes described as amazingly handsome and sarcastic which I relate to more than anything. Adrian was a perfect character for the female readers to fall in love with.

It is SUCH a hard decision to make, but after considering it for awhile I have to go with Rose. She is brave, stong, intelligent, sarcastic and the thing that most endears her to me, is that she is loyal even to a fault. In real life it is extremely hard to find someone who is that loyal to anyone. That right there trumps any of her short comings!

My absolute Favorite character is Dimitri. I know, I know, totally expected. but what can I say…… I fell in love with him in Vampire academy and never lost faith in him as a character! I love how even when he was a Strigoi he still loved rose and never hurt her, though don’t get me wrong I believe he might have if he had to.
I just completely love Dimitri, with his western books and his long leather duster. What an amazing character!

Rose, she is just amazing!… a loyal friend to the end. In any world that is a very hard thing to find, I love her sarcasem and quick wit, and her temper also. It makes her human and vulnerable, even tho that is not a word that I would use to describe her very often with!
