TEN WICKED QUESTIONS + a release day giveaway!

WickedKiss_coverToday is the release day for WICKED KISS, the sequel to last year’s DARK KISS!! I have the first two chapters available here on my site if you want to check ‘em out. This book is a roller coaster of urban fantasy, paranormal romance, action, danger, mystery…and plenty of kissing. :-) I hope readers enjoy it as much as I enjoyed writing it. Which is A LOT!

What is Wicked Kiss about?

It’s about demons and angels, and family and friendship, trust, love, and hope, and trusting your heart vs. trusting your head. It’s about what really matters to you, even if you don’t realize what matters to you until it’s threatened.

Plot-wise, Wicked Kiss continues the story of Samantha Day, a teenage girl whose soul was stolen in a dark kiss, turning her into a soul-stealing “gray,” and the small team of angels and demons sent to earth to stop creatures like her from destroying the universal balance. Sam’s main goal is to get her soul back and be normal again, but nothing is ever that easy…especially not when you’re falling in love with someone whose duty it is to save the world from creatures just like you.

Who is your favorite character?

I do really love writing from Samantha’s POV since she’s strong and smart and funny. And I love Bishop, the main angel who’s in charge even though he’s dealing with a multitude of difficulties. But I know Kraven is a reader favorite and this is very likely because he’s just so much fun to write – a snarky jerk of a demon who has some serious pain he’s dealing with down deep that is rising – very quickly – to the surface. Kind of like a sarcastic volcano.

What was your favorite part about writing Wicked Kiss?

My favorite part was a couple key relationships, beyond the expected “romantic” relationship between Bishop and Sam (which I loved since it’s so much more complex in book two than it was in book one). I loved writing about Bishop and Kraven’s many problems and how the two choose to deal with their difficult history. And I loved writing about Sam’s developing friendship (?) with Jordan, her high school nemesis.

Is there a love triangle in the book?

I do enjoy a good love triangle. And if that dynamic is essential to a plot, then I’m all for it. On the surface, there may seem to be a love triangle in Wicked Kiss…but it’s definitely NOT a traditional one. In my opinion, a traditional love triangle (boy-girl-boy) will have the girl torn between her romantic feelings for two very different boys. She doesn’t know who she really loves the most. It’s not really like that in Wicked Kiss, but Bishop and Kraven’s past definitely play a large part into the trio’s dynamic.

Will readers find out more about Bishop and Kraven’s mysterious past hinted at in book one?

Oh, yes. WAY, WAYYYY more. :)

Instalove – are you for it or against it?

One of the things I noticed that Dark Kiss was criticized for – or, really, that any YA that features love at first sight seems to be criticized for – is “instalove.” (A term I wasn’t even familiar with until DK came out! LOL). Frankly, I love books with love at first sight, provided that it feels right and natural for the characters. In Dark Kiss, Sam and Bishop are drawn together from their first meeting, attracted to each other in ways they don’t entirely know how to process, but can’t ignore. However, this attraction was VITAL to the plot and it wasn’t just caused by thinking the other person was “super hot.” In fact, this instant attraction is looked at very critically in book two by the characters and it opens up the dialogue of what is real love? Is what we’re feeling real? How do we know the difference between actual love and artificial supernaturally-induced attraction?

Will there be another book in the series?

At this moment, there are no more Nightwatchers books under contract. The series currently consists of Dark Kiss and Wicked Kiss only, no more, no less. Due to this, I took extra steps and extra time to ensure that book two does NOT end on a cliffhanger and that readers will be totally satisfied. That said, if Wicked Kiss sells well, there may be the chance for another book. So, if you enjoy the books, please help spread the word! Word of mouth is THE BEST advertising!

And a couple questions from my Facebook page….

Will Kraven admit that he has feelings for Sam?

Kraven is a complicated character and therefore his feelings are complicated, and definitely not black and white “I like you,” or “I hate you.” Yeah, vague answer, I know!! Read the book for more about Kraven’s feelings – he has a lot of them! ;-)

Will Samantha overcome the hunger she feels for Bishop?

Well, that would be a spoiler for sure! ;-) All I can say is that pretty much all questions readers might have after Dark Kiss are answered in Wicked Kiss!

Thank you for asking!

Blood Bath & Beyond

Blood Bath & Beyond

(An Immortality Bites Mystery #1)

Sarah Dearly is adjusting to life as a fledgling vampire, satisfying her cravings at vampire-friendly blood banks. But when her fiancé Thierry takes a job with the Ring—the secret council in charge of keeping vampires in line—Sarah’s about to get more than a taste of danger…

Being engaged to a centuries-old master vampire can be challenging—especially when he takes a job with the Ring. Thierry’s in for fifty years of nonstop travel and deadly risk. It’s enough to make any woman reconsider the wedding…any woman except Sarah, that is!

Traveling with him to Las Vegas for his first assignment, they encounter a child beauty pageant contestant from hell, as well as a vampire serial killer leaving victims drained of blood, potentially exposing the existence of vampires to the whole world. But when Thierry’s truly ancient history comes back to haunt him, and he’s accused of a crime he didn’t commit, it’s up to Sarah to clear his name before their immortal lives come to an end.

“A bloody hysterical paranormal mystery!” –New York Times Bestselling Author Victoria Laurie

4-1/2 star TOP PICK! “Rowen jumps from paranormal romance to paranormal mystery without skipping a beat…Here’s hoping Sarah will have many more adventures in her new series.”RT BookReviews

5 star TOP PICK! (Rowen makes) the transition from paranormal romance to paranormal mystery with ease. Her writing is sharp, witty and does not disappoint. The ending will delight both old and new fans, and leave you thirsting for the next installment. —Night Owl Reviews

Wait a minute, Michelle… I’m confused. Isn’t Sarah a character from your Immortality Bites paranormal romance series?

Why, yes she is! Sarah Dearly was the star of my original five-book series (although she was only actually in four of ‘em). This is her NEW series, which does continue her adventures, but needs NO knowledge of the previous books for new readers to catch on. Plus she’s in a brand new genre — cozy paranormal mystery — and with a fabulous new publisher — Penguin’s Obsidian mystery imprint, home of such awesome authors as Victoria Laurie, Juliet Blackwell, and Heather Blake, to name but a few! I like to think of this new series as urban fantasy with lots of mystery and romance!

Um, I’m still confused. She ended up with Thierry in Tall, Dark & Fangsome. Will she be getting a new love interest in this new series? Because that’s not cool.

Nope. As shown above in the book blurb, there is no new love interest. Sarah and Thierry are definitely together and it’s great fun for me as a writer to get to explore their relationship beyond the “happily ever after.” These two vampires are the proof that opposites definitely attract, so I am anticipating some very exciting times ahead for them as a couple!

Will there be more books in the series after this?

Yup! I’ve recently sent BLED & BREAKFAST (An Immortality Bites Mystery #2) to my editor and it is scheduled for release June 2013. The first chapter can be found at the back of BB&B!

There wouldn’t happen to be anywhere I can go to read the first two chapters of BB&B, is there?

Yes, indeedy! The first two chapters can be found here!

It’s weird. It’s like you know what I’m going to ask before I ask it. How about this: in BLOOD BATH & BEYOND…is there murder and mayhem and danger around every corner?

Uh-huh. Big time!

Is it also hilarious and delightful?

Well, I certainly would like to think so!

Are you doing a Release Day Contest?

Yes, I am!

Demon Princess #3 is now available!!

I’m very happy to announce that REIGN FALL (Demon Princess #3) is now available! Getting this book out to readers has truly been a labor of love.

Love — because I love this story and these characters. Labor — because this is my first foray into self-publishing. I’m extremely happy with the results — I might do a blog post sometime soon on the interesting and detailed process of self-pubbing a novel.

I want to give HUGE thanks to my friends and colleagues who helped get it into shape through beta-reading, copyediting, proofreading, and formatting — they get a shout-out on the acknowledgments page. Also to the readers who remained optimistic that I would continue the series on my own. Some were a bit forceful with their opinion and their disappointment at the thought that I was going to end things with Nikki after the end of book 2 with so much unresolved… :) I totally understand. Nikki’s complete story HAD to be told, people! It HAD TO. And now it gets its chance.

REIGN FALL is my favorite book in the Demon Princess series and I had a blast writing it. Things are getting crazy for our little demon princess! What was hinted at at books one and two are really coming to a head. Romance, adventure, danger! This book definitely has it all. And I’ve certainly paid attention to what readers said about the first two. A character I wasn’t going to pay toooo much attention to is definitely moving more to the forefront to become a real contender for Nikki’s heart. I shall say no more.

And the story’s not over yet. There’s one more book to come, REIGN STORM, which I haven’t written yet, even though I know pretty much what’s going to happen. I will be working on that in my spare time and endeavor to make it available sooner than later.

I’ve received a couple lovely early reviews of REIGN FALL….

“This series is extremely fun, cute, exciting and enjoyable. If you have not picked up the first book yet you should definitely do that! Or you should just pick up all of Michelle Rowen’s books because her writing is like Pringles so once you start you can’t stop. I can never put the books down. I’m off to read it a third time. Some Like It Paranormal (full review here)

“This has been a favourite YA series of mine since I read the first two books mid last year and I have to say I loved this as much as the others…A lot of secrets are revealed and those that were previously kept in the dark are now finding out the truth.” —Manda’s Movements (full review here)

Haven’t read books 1 and 2? I included a brief recap at the beginning of #3 in case you want to start here. I don’t think you’ll be too lost! However, both of the original books are still in print and available as ebooks.

So you might be asking yourself — where and how can I get my hands on REIGN FALL? I want to get reading!!

PRINT VERSION:

CreateSpace is producing the print versions — I picked a size that matches the original books so everything looks lovely and uniform on the shelf. I received a proof of this and was amazed at the quality! POD sure has come a long, long way in the last handful of years, so I’m very impressed and happy to make this format available to those who prefer a physical book to an ebook.

I’ve arranged for wider distribution on this than only Amazon, but it will take a little longer before the print version will be available through other venues (like B&N, Chapters, etc). For now, you can order it from CreateSpace and Amazon.com and it’s priced at $11.99 US.

EBOOK VERSION:

For the ebook version, wider distribution again will take a few weeks to process — I’ll add buy links to the Demon Princess book page when they become available (for Sony, Kobo, B&N, etc). At the moment, it’s available at Amazon Kindle and Smashwords for $3.99 US.

Check out my Demon Princess Facebook Page and/or my Michelle Rowen Facebook Page for information about the next book and talk about characters, sneak peeks, quotes, etc. Check out the Demon Princess FAQ. When I get some more copies of the print book I’ll be doing giveaways as well. Stay tuned!

This has been an incredible learning experience for me and I am happy to be able to provide Nikki’s continuing story for interested readers. I hope that you love the book!! Feel free to send me an email to let me know what you think of it!

Happy reading!

Michelle  xoxo

P.S. You can read the first three chapters here.

P.P.S. If you have a book review blog, please contact me if you’d like to review the ebook version of REIGN FALL!

Release Day for That Old Black Magic – WIN $20 GC

First there was THE DEMON IN ME. Then SOMETHING WICKED. Now it’s the official release day for THAT OLD BLACK MAGIC. Hooray!!! The third and final book in the Living in Eden trilogy was a blast to write and I’m so happy it’s finally out there. I hope readers find the finale to Eden and Darrak’s story to be a fun ride!

Check out my interview with “Rocco” that will be posting today on catsbooksmorecats.blogspot.com. There’s a signed copy of TOBM up for a commenter to win! I’ve never been interviewed by a cat before. It was awesome. :)

I’m on vacation today through the end of the week and won’t be taking my laptop with me (withdrawal should start in T-minus three, two, one…), so I thought I’d put up a contest here as well.

Post a comment for the CHANCE TO WIN a $20 Gift Card to your online retailer of choice. I’ll pick a winner at random on Friday, December 9, 2011 at 9:00 p.m. EST. Good luck! (If you’re viewing this post on a mirror site, please visit michellerowen.com/blog to enter)

Here’s a reminder of what THAT OLD BLACK MAGIC is all about…

When it comes to magic, sparks aren’t the only thing that can ignite…

Reluctant witch Eden Riley knows that codependent relationships aren’t good, but it’s hard to be independent when you’re possessed by a sexy but troublemaking demon. Darrak’s physical form makes good girl Eden want to go bad, but the constant itch to use the soul-destroying black magic she’s recently acquired might force Eden to explore her dark side in an entirely different way.

When her dangerous magic starts manifesting itself without conscious effort, Darrak insists she seek outside help—which also leads them to the potential answer to ending the demon’s curse. Suddenly, everything starts spiraling completely out of control, threatening both her life and the possibility of a future with Darrak—since only one of them might be able to survive this…

You can check out the first three chapters RIGHT HERE!

Also, I wrote a Dear Reader letter for the Penguin website. There just MIGHT be a typo in it. But I think it adds a bit of personality.

Anyway, I really hope if you get a copy of the book that you enjoy it! I’ve enjoyed writing Darrak a lot (oh, and Eden too, of course — but Darrak, um, more), and I’m going to miss him (them) a lot. You just can’t go wrong with a funny, sexy demon hero in my opinion!

Happy reading!

Michelle xoxo

Familiar – now available

I’m happy to announce that FAMILIAR, the young adult short story I wrote for the Kiss Me Deadly anthology last year, is now available as a stand alone download from Kindle and Smashwords.

When reluctant teen witch Brenda Collins is sent by her mother to a magical pet shop to pick out her animal familiar, she settles on a small tawny-striped kitten not realizing it’s a shapeshifter currently in hiding. Discovering the gorgeous but troubled Owen’s secret plunges the witch-in-training into a dangerous and romantic adventure that will test her magical abilities like never before.

I did the cover art myself as well as the formatting. It was an interesting — and surprisingly difficult — challenge. Well, the formatting was difficult. I’m a graphic designer by trade, so the cover was a breeze. I’ve already designed the covers for all the potential books I’m considering epubbing. For me, Photoshop = fun fun fun.

This short story is a little experiment into the wide world of self-publishing that seems to be The Big Thing right now. I’ve been busy with my contracted work, but didn’t want to drag my heels on this exciting new way to get my work to readers. I have two other short stories I will likely put up in the next little while that I wrote for Mammoth anthologies — a light vampire romance and a time travel thriller romance. Beyond that, if I have time, I have a YA trilogy about ghosts, the first books I ever finished writing, which I would love to self-pub. I just read it over the other day and it needs a great deal of rewriting to bring it up to par with my other books (my writing, as well as my editorial eye for faulty prose, has definitely improved over the last eight years!), but it’s definitely possible.

I’m writing my Blaze novella right now which seems to have developed a retro-esque Hugh-Grant-like hero (if that makes any sense to you) whom I’m enjoying very much. I’m also easing into the waters of writing Blood Bath & Beyond. I haven’t written from Sarah’s POV for a couple of years, so it’s taking a bit of extra time to reacquaint myself with her particular way of looking at the world. I just found out that the release date on BB&B is set (right now) at August 2012. And, for anyone wondering, there will definitely be two books about Sarah and Thierry’s new adventures together. And hopefully more after that.

It looks like a foggy, dreary May day outside my balcony window. Which is fine, since this is a writing day for me (what day isn’t??). I’m looking forward to the RWA National Conference in NYC the last week of June. I love New York! This will be my second time in the city and this time I definitely want to get to Central Park and Ground Zero.

Okay, I guess I should get back to my writing. I’m spending the weekend working on the Blaze, then as of Monday, it’s all Sarah all the time. She should be very happy about that. ;)

March release – CONTEST

*** Thank you to everyone who entered!! The randomly chosen winner of both INEVITABLE and KATRAKIS’S SWEET PRIZE is Comment #3 from StacieDM. Please email me with your mailing address to claim your prize! ***

How is it March already? I mean, seriously!?!?

March means that my latest Harlequin Blaze, INEVITABLE, is out in the wilds. I just found out yesterday that it is also an audio book available on Audible.com! All three of my Blazes have been lucky enough to be given the audio treatment so I’m very grateful for that.

Right now I’m busily working away on both my first draft of DARK KISS (my new YA with Harlequin Teen) as well as my secret project that for now is remaining enigmatically secret. Let’s just say, I’ve never been so busy. I’m happy, but will definitely need a few days over to recoup once these books are done. What else have I been doing? NOT VERY MUCH AT ALL. *collapses*

But I definitely want to celebrate the release of INEVITABLE. My good friend Megan Crane, aka Caitlin Crews, is doing a giveaway of both of our latest releases over on her blog. I want to do the exact same thing because I’m a total copycat.

So I’m going to give away both my Blaze and her latest Harlequin Presents to one randomly chosen commenter who’d like to read both of these fun category romances.

KATRAKIS’S SWEET PRIZE
by Caitlin Crews

Payback…delivered on a silver platter!

Notorious Nikos Katrakis was looking for a new mistress when, out of the blue, heiress Tristanne Barbery offered herself to him. Could satisfaction and revenge really be that easy to obtain?

Tristanne knew better than to play games with a man of such devastatingly lethal charisma like Nikos. But, though she had a good idea of the kind of sacrifice she was offering, she had no choice.

To Nikos’s surprise, Tristanne was not the weak, biddable good-time girl he’d expected… and soon his plans for vengeance came crumbling down around him!

INEVITABLE
by Michelle Rowen

Some things should never be bottled up…

Paranormal investigator and erotic novelist Emma Black is at a masquerade ball and looking for a coveted lust potion. Unexpectedly, she bumps into her former partner, the ridiculously sexy (oh so sexy!) Ryan Shephard. And, for added bonus temptation points, the rare lust potion is splashed on both of them—with instantaneously hot results!

But is the incredible, mind-blowing sex between them only the result of the potion? Or are Emma and Ryan simply giving in to the inevitable?

* * * * * * * * * * * * *

For your chance to win these two books (INEVITABLE will be signed by yours truly), please leave a comment. International entries welcome. NOTE: If you’re reading this on a mirror site, please visit my main blog to enter. I’ll choose a winner Friday, March 4th at 9:00 EST — please check back to see if you’ve won. For a second chance to win these books, visit Megan’s blog!

Nightshade is out tomorrow! Contest!

*** Thank you for all the comments!! The randomly chosen winner of the $25 gift card is Comment #55 – Francesca*K* . Congrats! Please contact me at michelle@michellerowen.com to claim your prize! ***

The day is finally here! My darker vampire urban fantasy romance, NIGHTSHADE, is out tomorrow! (although I’ve already seen it and the PRIMAL anthology — which continues Jill and Declan’s story in the novella “Bleeding Heart” — on the shelves of Chapters here in Canada).

Since I’m going to be at Bitten by Books tomorrow for my virtual release party, I wanted to do something here on my blog today to celebrate this new release that I’m very excited about. I asked for questions on my Facebook pages and have answered them in the vlog below.

For asking a question, the winner, chosen at random, of the signed copy of Nightshade is Kristen Ceci. Please email me with your mailing address to claim your prize!

NIGHTSHADE

Desire is in the blood

Jillian Conrad never believed in vampires. But she’s just become a living, breathing weapon against them. Attacked by a desperate scientist, she is injected with a serum that was supposed to act as a deadly poison to vampires. And when the scientist is gunned down in front of her, his secrets die with him.

Declan Reyes was only half-vampire, but he hates them with all his heart. He knows that the poison in Jillian’s veins could finally destroy the undead kingdom. Also, the serum has had an unintended effect, making her blood irresistible to all vampires—including Declan, whose bloodthirsty traits are driven into a frenzy by her.

Driven by duty to protect her and by instinct to crave her, Declan takes Jillian into his shadowy world of blood and battle. But he soon realizes his increasing need for her may be a different kind of hunger…

BLOG CONTEST!!!

I’m giving away a $25 gift certificate for Amazon, Borders or Barnes & Noble (or your online book vendor of choice). Add a comment below for your chance to win.* I’ll pick a winner at random Friday, February 4th at 9:00pm EST.

Release day for TOUCH AND GO!

***The winners of the signed copies of TOUCH AND GO are sandra weir and infinitieh. Please contact me at michelle@michellerowen.com to let me know your mailing addresses! Thanks to everyone who entered!***

It’s the release day for my second Harlequin Blaze – TOUCH AND GO! And I’m going to give away two signed copies of the book here on my blog to a couple randomly selected commenters to this post. See bottom of this post for more deets!

Touch and Go

Oh, the Bahamas. What a perfect place for a fling! Or is it?

Carrie Stanfield is there on assignment with the hottest guy ever! The chemistry between them is more volatile than the tropical storm that strands them on a deserted island. So why the heck won’t Patrick McKay touch her already?

Patrick would love to get his hands all over Carrie’s sweet body. Unfortunately, he’s been fooling around with a charm that makes touching another person very hard. But not touching Carrie is making him even harder…

It’s not looking very good for these two. Then again, when you mess around with magic, the most seductive things can happen….

This book was a lot of fun to write — kind of like a mini-vacation since it took me to a delicious tropical destination. If you read HOT SPELL, you will recognize the hero of this book, Patrick McKay, who has some issues to deal with — to say the least — on his very rocky path to true love.

Check out an excerpt here.

TOUCH AND GO is also available as an audiobook! (Note: Audible.com currently lists it at 51 minutes, but it’s really more like five hours).

To enter to win one of two signed copies of this book, please leave a comment on my website blog (if you’re viewing a mirrored version of this post, please visit HERE to enter), and tell me — What tropical destination would you most like to visit? For example, I’d love to visit Hawaii one of these days — what a gorgeous State! And the Bahamas, the location for the majority of TOUCH AND GO is also very, very tempting…. :)

I’ll pick my two winners on Wednesday, November 3rd at 9:00 p.m. EST. Good luck!

Wicked release day party for SOMETHING WICKED!!!

*** Thanks everyone for making my release day so wonderful with all your great comments! I’ve chosen my three winners at random for the $20 gift card to your choice of online bookstore, and they are: #10: Cem, #46: CassieT, and #68: Debra-dee22. Please contact me at michelle@michellerowen.com to claim your prizes! Congrats! ***

Hey, it’s October 5th!! That means that it’s the official release day for SOMETHING WICKED. This book holds the honor of being my fave book I’ve written to date with my absolute fave cover! (Isn’t Darrak/male-model-dude a cutie??)

PAR-TAY!!!!!

Being a little wicked isn’t all bad…

Every woman has a sexy demon inside her just waiting to get out, but for Eden Riley it’s a little different. Her inner demon is named Darrak, and he’s been inhabiting bodies for the past 300 years. In the daytime, thanks to her special psychic energy, he’s able to take physical shape—a shape she wouldn’t mind getting her hands on, if it wasn’t a threat to her immortal soul…

Because of her possession, Eden now has uncontrollable black magic at her fingertips, and she and Darrak are trying to end the curse that binds them before the situation gets any worse. To do it, they’ll have to get tangled up with some unsavory characters from the underworld. When sparks and spells fly, they could get the distance they need…or each have their own private hell to pay.

The first three chapters are available here on my website!

This is my twelfth published book. 12. TWELVE. I seriously can’t believe it.

To celebrate, I’m going to give away THREE WICKED PRIZES. And they’re all the same. Three $20 electronic gift certificates to your online bookseller of choice (ie: Amazon, B&N, Borders). If they have e-gift certs, then they are wickedly cool with me!

How do you qualify? JOIN THE WICKED VIRTUAL PARTY! Put on a pair of virtual devil horns. Sparkly ones, of course. Have some virtual fruit punch (spiked for all those of drinking age who wish to  get virtually sloshed). Hang out at the virtual chocolate fountain. Virtual yum!

Are we having fun yet???

Leave a comment here on the blog — if you’re viewing a mirror of this, please visit www.michellerowen.com/blog to comment on the original post. And riddle me this:

What’s your ONE favorite fantasy/paranormal book OF ALL TIME. And why did you like it so much?

And, no, there won’t be any bonus points given if that book just happens to be one of mine. Really. I’m not needy like that. Much. All right, I’m extremely needy like that. So let’s just make a rule that it has to be a book that is NOT by yours truly. Something else by someone else. Etcetera.

I’ll go first… uh, my favorite fantasy/paranormal book of all time is KISS OF SHADOWS by Laurell K. Hamilton because it led me to modern paranormal fiction and helped me decide that was the genre I wanted to focus on writing. And it’s also one of the very few books I’ve ever read more than once.

I’ll pick my three winners AT RANDOM on Friday, October 8th at 9:00 p.m. EST. Since this is all electronic and online, international entries are definitely welcome!

So, SOMETHING WICKED. Rah! I’m very excited about this release. I LOVE writing about Darrak and Eden and get to do it again for the third Living in Eden book about Darrak and Eden, THAT OLD BLACK MAGIC, which will be out next year. And which I haven’t quite started writing yet. But I will. Soon. Very soon.

And if you plan to read SOMETHING WICKED, thank you very much! I really hope that you enjoy it!

Happy reading!

A couple releases

Just a quick post today to say that there are a couple new releases out and about from yours truly.

First up is KISS ME DEADLY that actually came out on August 3rd. It’s a Young Adult anthology I was lucky enough to be asked to write a story for. I wrote a stand alone story titled “Familiar” about a witch-in-training who needs to pick out her feline familiar. But of course things never go as planned. It’s light and fun with a rather delectable hero (if I do say so myself) and I hope readers enjoy it! I do have an excerpt up here on the site, so check it out here.

Also out — today — is the UK release of FANGED & FABULOUS, with a seriously gorgeous cover. Sarah has never looked so classy! I can’t believe this was out in the US back in 2007, thus the J.Lo reference on the first page. Ah, cultural references. Sometimes they get old quicker than you’d like the to. It’s great hearing about this series again from people in the UK who are reading it for the first time. Makes me all nostalgic. And it’s also making Sarah very chatty in my head. She’s pesky, that one. Very pesky!
